Questions to ask your Breeder

If you are an experienced hog farmer you can probably ignore this page. It is meant for those folks that are new to raising hogs; these are the questions you should ask any breeder from which you may purchase piglets and hogs. These will help you understand whether or not the breeder knows what they are doing and is being honest. We have talked with too many people that have become disappointed after dealing with inexperienced or unethical breeders. I wish this page were not necessary but the plain fact is that some breeders just haven’t yet learned enough to provide good pigs or are just flat out dishonest.
